- родился в 1962 г. как Юрий Грибановский), это ключевая фигура новой живописи. В СССР ему не было места, он давно живёт в Торонто.
На Grie повлияли Магритт, Сальвадор Дали, Wojciech Siudmak и фотограф Jerry Uelsmann.
Его картины полны мощного визуального импрессионизма и философских поисков. Фото-реалистическая манера письма усиливает зрительное восприятия сюрреалистических идей. Опусы Грие являются экстраординарным зрительным отражением его мыслей, философических убеждений и фантазий.
Любопытно, что George Grie ведущий специалист по интерактивной рекламе в корпорации IBM.
Некоторые полагают, что компьютерное искусство - это что-то механическое и ненатуральное, лишенное человеческого прикосновения. Подобное представление ошибочно, так как не компьютеры делают искусство, а люди, которые используют их. Компьютеры - обыкновенные инструменты, как те же кисти.
